Ambrose

Ambrose at work with Mummy
Ambrose is nearly 5 years old. I adopted him from the Lexington Humane Society when he was just a little baby. During this time, I had just lost my first cat, Nickles, of 15 years. Nickles came into my life when I was only 5 years old! I was 20 when he passed away, and it was devastating for me. Having absolutely no intention of adopting a new cat, I was in Petsmart when I saw Ambrose being displayed by the ladies from the Humane Society. He looked IDENTICAL to Nickles! It was as if Nickles had come back to me, to help ease me through his loss. I left with Ambrose that day, and gave him his name, which means "Immortal" in honor of Nickles. Since then, Ambrose has been my constant companion. I couldn't have asked for a better cat. He has helped me through many of life's trials, and makes every day interesting. He is absolutely a mamma's boy, and remains my number 1 fan. He's a tall, leggy kitty man, weighing in at a whopping 15 pounds, pretty impressive for a non-pedigreed house cat! Ambrose is the best alarm clock you can imagine, and he has also participated as a blood donor for the Lexington small animal Blood Bank.
Sebastian

baby Sebastian
Sebastian was born in May 2008. He was a rescue kitten that I hand raised from 2 days old. A young woman from Kentucky had been visiting her parents in Ohio, when her parents cat had apparently given birth to a litter in the girl's car. The mama cat had been in the process of moving all the kittens out of the car and into a new location, when the girl began packing her car to head home to Kentucky. A day later, she found this tiny blue/grey kitten in the back floorboard of her car!!! Not knowing what to do, she brought him into the vet hospital were I worked and the rest is history! Sebastian never left my side from that point on. He went to college classes with me, to work with me, and to restaraunts and baseball games with me! Everywhere we went, he was adored. Now he is all grown up, and the most spoiled rotten cat I've ever met!
Lykin

Lykin, the day I adopted him
Lykin was probably the cutest little puppy I have ever seen. He was another Humane Society rescue that is now living the high life. Although he's over 80 pounds now and taller than me when he stands up on his back legs, Lykin still thinks he is a Chihuahua and prefers to be in your lap than on the floor! We firmly believe that Lykin is part cat, and anyone who watched him play with the cats in the house would believe it too! Lykin slinks and pounces and rolls on the floor with the cats. He chases laser lights all over the house and prefers tiny cat toys to bones or rubber balls. He cuddles with the cats and even has favorites among the cats in our household. These favorites are "his kitties" and he can't stand to be separated from them! Lykin claimed baby Sebastian as "his kitty" the moment we brought the kitten into the house, and they have been cuddle buddies ever since!
